This arbor works with any -20 or 5/8-18 thread mount hole saw with cutting depths up to 2-1/4 inch (60mm). This brings all the benefits of the Hole Pro kit ball bearing mounted ABS composite dust shields to jobs where a special purpose hole cutter is needed to cut holes in ceramic tile, stone, thick lumber and laminate, asbestos tile, plaster, stucco, plastic resins, fiber-reinforced composites, OSB, TGI, or stainless steel.The clear ABS composite plastic shield (the same material used for hockey helmets) traps all the dust and shavings, and with its ball bearing support for the XL-Arbor it is easy to make a straight in cut even when using a hand held drill. The orange adjustment knob (from the Hole Pro adjustable hole cutter kit) can be used to limit the depth of the cut of the hole saw to lessen the chance of accidentally cutting a hidden wire or pipe in a wall, ceiling, or floor. The Hole Pro adjustable hole cutters can be used to cut holes from 1-7/8 up to 17 inches in diameter and to a depth of 1-1/8 inches in a wide range of materials. With the addition of the XL-Arbor the Hole Pro shields can be used with hole saws to cut and even wider range of materials and to cut to depths of up to 2-1/4 inches while still providing the benefits of dust suppression, straight cuts, and depth control.
